The recent introduction of significant privacy-focused features by Apple in iOS 15 builds on a gaining momentum of changes dramatically impacting marketing and advertising. From the blocking of 3rd party cookies and legislation such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), to the introduction of the Privacy Sandbox by Google advertisers, marketers and technologists must navigate numerous factors to chart a path forward.

On the surface, the introduction of email address obfuscation and IP address masking across the Apple ecosystem will further erode the ability to target individuals and proposed workarounds for a cookie-less future.

    Sean Mario is the Senior Vice President for Revenue & Operations for WebMD Health. Sean oversees WebMD’s digital revenue delivery organization that includes sales operations, client delivery, and revenue recognition for all direct sales to the pharma, provider, and CPG business segments. Prior to this role, Sean served in a number of technology and operational capacities at WebMD since 2006. He was responsible for technology management of the Medscape publishing, registration, and site product roadmaps, as well as technology delivery for all advertising technology needs to support the entire business.

    Chris Paquette’s entire career has revolved around the confluence of healthcare, advertising, and technology. He is the Chief Executive Officer of DeepIntent, a marketing technology company that he co-founded on the principle that marketing technology can measurably improve the lives of patients. Since 2016, Paquette has led DeepIntent from a scrappy two-person start-up into an industry-leading DSP that employs more than 110 people and has tripled in revenue four years in a row. Prior to DeepIntent, Paquette earned a degree in Bioengineering from Binghamton University and worked as a data scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Paquette won PM360’s 2020 Trailblazer Vanguard Award and more recently, he was named to MM&M’s ‘40 Under 40’ list.

He previously led product strategy and helped develop Crossix DIFA, the leading analytics platform for the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Crossix, Dan gained additional healthcare and media experience working at Digitas and Digitas Health.
